As we journey through life it is easy to lose sight of where we are going. It is easy to fall into the trap of thinking that the universe is indifferent to our existence and that everything is up to us. In fact, it is impossible to avoid this trap as the messages continue to blare forth from the megaphones of power.

Yet, in the midst of it all, a Presence greater than ourselves shines through and points us back to our destination. That destination is an oasis that lies just beyond our sight. And, although we may think we are looking for wealth, power, glory, or whatever, we are really seeking the living water of that hidden oasis. The kind of water that touches the soul.

That Water tells us that we do not belong to ourselves. Instead, we are part of a much greater epic than we can imagine. We have an indispensable role to play, a role that belongs uniquely to us. Sure, we can opt out and pursue our own agendas. But, why would we do that? Why would we give up participation in something greater than ourselves? Especially if that participation would fulfill all of our desires.

Paradoxically, we must give up control of our lives in order to gain what we desire. Ironically, the very act of pursuing our desires deprives us of their fulfilment. We do not need others to tell us this. Deep down, we know this to be true.

It is the Water of the hidden oasis that we seek. The Water that will heal our souls. The Water that we can have, if only we will ask for it. So ask, and it will be given to you…

Such a beautiful reminder that we each hold within us a cup of water from the greater ocean of Divinity Randy! We have only to trust in the path we are on. Love the photo !
